Carlton Williams is a life-long resident of Greenville. He graduated from D. H. Conley in 1987. He received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Mount Olive in 2005. He received his Masters of Science in Justice Administration from Methodist University in 2011. He has worked at the Greenville Police Department since 1988 and currently serves as a Lieutenant (South Zone Commander) in the Field Operations Bureau. He is a Criminal Justice instructor and teaches at Pitt Community College in traditional classroom settings and online.
Carlton was married to Cathy Williams who was also a real estate agent with Aldridge and Southerland Realtors until her passing in March 2017. Carlton is the proud father of five boys: Paul, Corey, Seth, Joshua, and Jordan. He has one grandson, Maddox. He is an active member of Gateway Christian Center in Winterville, North Carolina.
Carlton enjoys all outdoor sports. He loves to sing all types of music but especially Southern Gospel.
Carlton grew up around construction as his father operated Carlton Williams’ Masonry Contracting until 1999. In addition, he has several other relatives which specialize in residential construction in Pitt County.
