Greenville Police Department
The police department focuses on the protection of lives and property, the provision of programs and services that foster community crime prevention, the repression and apprehension of offenders and the maintenance of public order. There are 172 police officers serving the city.

- CrimeStoppers: 758-7777. Callers can leave anonymous tips about criminal activity and earn rewards up to $2,500.

- Records Division: 329-4325. Copies of traffic accidents, criminal incident and arrest reports may be obtained for $5 per report at 500 S. Greene St.
- Public Affairs: Sgt. Shari Dennison, 500 S. Greene St., 329-4335
- Citizens' Police Academy: Cpl. Kip Gaskins, 329-4158. Training program meets two hours each week for 10 weeks. Participants learn about community policing, police training, firearm safety, general and major crimes, domestic violence, courtroom procedures and narcotics investigation.
- Community Watch Program: Officer Tracy Gilreath, 329-4355. The department coordinates neighborhood watch programs throughout the city.
